Description

This plaster finish is hand-applied in a 3 layer process to create depth, movement, and natural variation across the surface. Because plaster is an artisanal process, no two installations are exactly alike - subtle shifts in tone and texture are part of it's beauty.

This finish can be applied to walls, ceilings, fireplaces, range hoods, and other architectural features. Use the “View This In My Room” tool to visualize how this plaster color and finish may look in your space. While the visualizer is a helpful reference, the final result will always be influenced by lighting, surface conditions, and the hand-applied nature of the material.

The colors shown here represent a curated selection of sample finishes created for the visualizer. Plaster can be custom color-matched to nearly any paint color, including Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball, and others.

ABOUT THE "SEE THIS IN MY ROOM" FEATURE

The “See This in My Room” feature is a visualization tool designed to give you an idea of how our plaster colors and finishes may look in your space. It is meant as a preview and should not be considered an exact representation of the finished plaster.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Color may vary: The color you see on your phone or computer may not reflect the true color of the plaster. Screen settings, photography, and the lighting in your space can all affect how a color appears.
  • Lighter colors can be more difficult to visualize: Whites, creams, and other very light colors can be harder for the visualizer to detect and may appear differently than they do in person.
  • AI detection isn't perfect: The visualizer uses AI to detect walls and surfaces, so it may not always pick up every wall, ceiling, curve, or architectural detail correctly. More intricate spaces can be especially challenging, and the technology is continuously improving.
  • Plaster will naturally vary: The movement, texture, and variation you see in the visualizer are a representation of the finish. Because plaster is hand-applied, the actual finished product will have its own natural variation and character.
  • For Venetian plaster samples: the burnished/polished quality of the finish is not reflected in the visualizer, so the sheen and depth you see in person may look different on screen.

For the most accurate representation, we always recommend viewing a physical sample in your space whenever possible.

This feature is intended as a guide to help you visualize your options, not as a guarantee of the exact color, finish, or final appearance of the plaster.

Design

Venetian plaster brings softness, depth, and subtle movement that paint alone can’t achieve. Each installation is custom and one-of-a-kind, with natural variations in color and tone that give the walls a beautiful, unique finish.

It works across historic, modern, coastal, and traditional interiors. The smooth finish pairs naturally with materials like wood, stone, linen, and aged metals, adding warmth and another texture to the space.

Lighting brings out the subtle tonal variations and polished finish of Venetian plaster. Color is completely customizable - whether matching existing walls, cabinetry, or trim, or creating a completely new color to complement the space.

Inquire

This plaster finish is available through custom wall and architectural installations and is not offered for direct purchase online. Pricing, scheduling, and sample recommendations are determined through inquiry.

Plaster can be custom color-matched to most major paint brands, including Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball, and others. The finishes shown on the website represent sample colors currently available in the visualizer, but are not the only options.

To get started, please email us alston@emilyharrisart.com and include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Project location (city and state; full address if available)
  • Measurements of the walls, ceilings, or features to be plastered
  • Elevation drawings or plans (for new builds or renovations)

The Process

Our plaster installations are custom, handcrafted, and thoughtfully planned. Here’s how a typical project moves forward:

  1. Inquiry – Email us (alston@emilyharrisart.com) with your project details, including location, measurements, photos, space plans/drawings (if applicable), timeline, inspiration images, and desired paint color(s).
  2. Initial Review – Once we have your information and confirm that the plans meet our project minimum and scope requirements, we will schedule an on-site or zoom meeting.
  3. On-Site Meeting – We’ll walk the space with you, show plaster samples, and discuss all details, including texture, color, overall finish, as well as any other potential options.
  4. Estimate – After the meeting, we provide a preliminary estimate outlining our scope of work and pricing.
  5. Deposit & Scheduling – Upon acceptance of the estimate, a first deposit of 50% secures your installation date on our calendar and allows us to order materials.
  6. Sample & Preparation – We finalize any physical samples with you before full installation begins, ensuring color, finish, and texture are as envisioned.
  7. Installation – From start to finish, our team handles the installation and brings your vision to life in a finish tailored to your space.
  8. Final Balance – The remaining balance is due after the installation is complete and we are confident that you are happy with the finished work.
